107 LIVE! with the West St. Paul Guitar Orchestra

Classic 107 listeners were treated to a musical mashup Tuesday morning as Jingle Bells and the Pink Panther theme were performed live in studio! 

Nine members of the West St. Paul School Guitar Orchestra were led by guest instructor John Himes in the performance, accompanied by vice-principal Tammy Harder who joined in the conversation. 

Made up of Grades 3 and 4 students, the ensemble is directed by early music educator and guitarist Richard Tyborowski. In the 2023 Winnipeg Music Festival, the group was awarded the Winnipeg Classical Guitar Society David Bellan Trophy – a prize which had previously been awarded only to high school ensembles.
