Grade two and three students at Parkland Elementary School in Winkler gathered in the school's library Tuesday for a special storytime.
Friesens Marketing Manager, Pamela Hiebert and Goldenwest Reporter Pam Fedack dropped in to read to the children.
Pamela from Friesens read our I Love to Read Month book Fishing with Grandma by Maren Vsetula and Susan Avingaq - illustrated by Charlene Chua and published by Inhabit Media.
What did some of the students learn from the book?
"To share," said grade two student Lucas.
Lucas also shared that he likes Disney books. His favorite character is Shere Khan from The Jungle Book.
Aubrey, who is also in grade two said, Fishing with Grandma was a good book, and she learned "it's good to be kind."
"You need to read because it's a very important part of life," Aubrey added.
Books in the Imagination Station series are her favorite books
Each one of the grade two students received a copy of Fishing with Grandma to take home and keep forever and ever!
