Innisfail RCMP charge Clearwater County resident with arson

On June 19, at 7:58 a.m., the Innisfail RCMP received a report of an individual spraying gasoline on a commercial building East of Innisfail.

While on route, RCMP were advised that the suspect had lit the gasoline and business was on fire. Reports also indicated that the suspect had fled in a vehicle.

Police quickly located the vehicle and suspect who was arrested.

Fire crews were able to extinguish the blaze, however there was significant damage to the building. 

No injuries were reported.

RCMP have charged Clearwater County resident Tyler John Giglia (39) with:

• Arson;
• Break and enter with intent.

Giglia was taken before a Justice of the Peace and remanded into custody with his next court date set for June 20 at the Alberta Court of Justice in Red Deer.
