Vandals damage wheelchair accessible swing in Sylvan Lake

Sylvan Lake RCMP are investigating damage caused by vandals on Thursday, June 20th.

The wheelchair accessible swing and raised garden beds with plants were both damaged. The equipment is located in the recently built Health and Wellness Healing Hub located on the east side of the CP Trail just off 47th Avenue.

The Town of Sylvan Lake says that due to the extent of the damage it is not certain when these will re-open.

This vandalization comes after other reports of damage done, over the past couple years, to the Lakeshore washrooms, Gulls Stadium at Pogadl Park, and Sylvan Lake Soccer Field washroom.
