It was a beautiful day to be outside and enjoy some fun Canada Day activities. Many headed to Vita for their annual Canada Day celebration and day one of two was a success.
The Canada Day Committee had decided to make some last-minute schedule changes due to the rainy forecast for Monday.
Angela Boychuk, committee member, says they are happy with their decision to change the schedule as it turned out to be a great day and hopes the rain will stay away for tomorrow.
Vita’s Strongest, petting zoo, and fireworks were scheduled to happen on July 1, but they decided it would be best to have those activities today.
The rodeo was a success and a fan favourite. They had barrel racing for all ages followed by bull riding in the evening.
The Strongman contest is another favourite that Vita offers each year. This year, the Training Grounds hosts the competition and people show off how much they can lift in various contests.
There were lots of kid's activities including face painting, a dog show, petting zoo, bouncy castles, crafts, and more!
More activities like the slopitch tournament are scheduled to happen tomorrow and the committee hopes for another beautiful day.
