The Manitoba Threshermen’s Reunion and Stampede is set to go this week and once again the schedule is full at the Manitoba Agricultural Museum in Austin.

The president of the museum is Angie Klym and she says she is excited for this year's event. There are going to be some highlights that are new for this year’s reunion that make it special from the rest.

Klym notes there will be some wonderful things brought to the expo area this year, with new exhibits showcasing vintage motorcycles, snowmobiles, and other recreation vehicles. The pioneer village will also come alive this year with additional activities for kids and the whole family. She adds that the RCMP Musical Ride is sure to be an event that everyone must see.

“We are honoured to be hosting the RCMP Musical Ride Thursday evening. There will be 16 riders performing intricate formations and drills. When you purchase your admission ticket for the rodeo, you can enjoy the performance and then go right to the rodeo.”

Klym comments on how amazing it is to host such an array of events, shows, and activities. She includes pioneer living demonstrations, farming activities, classic cars, horse competitions, and a great variety of music are just some of the fun events going on from Thursday to Sunday.

She emphasizes that the reunion and stampede would not be possible without all the volunteers and helpers leading up to the event.

“We have folks in the province and neighbouring areas that have been coming for decades to give us a hand and bring history to life here at the museum for our visitors. There are over 500 volunteers who will be helping over the four days,” She continues. “We are ready to go for the event and it’s the perfect way to build in a Manitoba staycation.”

The kids will be entertained all weekend with the petting zoo, barrel train rides, pedal tractor pull, face painting, and much more. With all the great events during the 4 days of family fun, make sure to check out the rodeo, along with the live entertainment with local artists. Check out some pictures from last year’s event.
