The Mennonite Heritage Village looked a little bit different this afternoon as cars, trucks, ATV’s, old and new lined up along Main Street.
The warm weather didn’t stop car enthusiasts from entering the contest and people coming to enjoy the museum’s grounds while admiring the cars.
Robert Goertzen, Interim Executive Director and Program Manager at MHV says it’s something different and exciting that the museum hosts every year.
“It’s a beautiful day. We couldn’t ask for a better day, it might be a little bit hot but a lot better than having rain.”
By 12pm, Goertzen says there were already around 200 participants, and some were going to be winning a prize.
“The judges are working right now to identify all of the best in each category, and there’s going to be prizes, plaques, and awards between 3pm and 4pm. There’s going to be a muffler rapping contest and a couple other contests as well.”
Goertzen continues, “And everyone can vote for their favourite. There’s a prize for people’s choice, and the kids can choose their favourite ride, whether that’s a car, truck, or ATV, there’s lots of wonderful vehicles here.”
Send in a photo of you and your favourite place to hangout for a chance to win a round of gold for 4 from Buffalo Point Resort and a golf prize pack to La Broquerie golf course OR a Golden Ticket.
