Brandon Lake released a new single early after a teased portion of the song in April had fans all over TikTok dancing and singing along to it.
'That's Who I Praise' was released in full by Lake on July 31, 2024. Initially on the release day the single made it to the top spot on streaming music in all genre categories.
"I am in awe of the response my new single, ‘That’s Who I Praise’ has gotten," said Lake. "From social media, to the thousands of music video submissions, I decided to release this song way before the scheduled date. I hope this song shines light on who God was, is, and will forever be. This song is an anthem that takes the focus off of what we need from God, but more so praising God for simply who he is."
Lake recently was notified that he received the most GMA Dove Award nominations ever for the upcoming awards show in October of any singer/songwriter, with 17.
The music video Lake released for 'That's Who I Praise' is a compilation of fans and people on TikTok singing and dancing to his song.
As of August 1, Phil Wickham and Lake are starting their Summer Worship Nights Tour, with their first stop in Detroit.
