If you need a day to get out of the house and blow off some steam, the Western Development Museum (WDM) has the event for you.

Coming up on Saturday, August 10th from 11 AM to 4 PM, the WDM is having their annual "Blow Off Some Steam" event. You can learn about how the railway in Canada was built and how steam engines operated back in the day. Events will be taking inside and outside.

To get in, it will only cost you general admission. If you'd like a ride on the K + S Shortline 101, individual rides are $7 and family passes (2 adults and 2 children) are $20.

We spoke with Alexis Jones, Program and Volunteer Coordinator on what you can expect for the event.
