Canadian Christian artist Steve Bell is asking for prayer and financial help for a member of his team after they were diagnosed with a serious health issue.

Over the last four months, Bell's videographer, Jay Johnson has seen his health quickly decline.

"He’s been diagnosed with an aggressive onset of relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis," said his daughters Hannah and Jennah in a post on GoFundMe. "As a result, he will require ongoing treatment and MS-related accommodations to help combat the very aggressive onset and try to avoid awful relapses of this disease."

Before joining Bell's team four years ago, Johson served in various roles as a pastor.

"He is dearly loved and valued around here. Any help you could give will be much appreciated," said Bell.

Steve says while the family navigates through this new territory, they have set up a GoFundMe page to help raise funds to support the extra health-related costs that may come up.

"All we’ve seen growing up is our family helping, serving, and giving to people, and now, as we see our dad being faced with costly MS-related expenses and accommodations to fight this, we wanted to ask if you’d consider helping to support us," said the family. "We don’t know what the future holds, but we do know the next step is treatment, accommodations to get him healthier and to try and avoid relapses. This will help him to live as close to normal as possible! "

The goal is to raise $7,000. By early Friday morning, they were less than $800 shy of that goal.
