Matthew West is using a yard sign to encourage people in Nashville.

The Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter drove around the city with a yard sign that said, 'Don't Stop Praying,' based off his hit song with the same name.

"Ever since I wrote, 'Don't Stop Praying,' it really felt like a statement. My team and I were talking about how there's all these signs in people's yards. Everybody's getting the word out about something, and it's like everybody's getting the word out about something. What's the campaign slogan of the believer, of someone who follows Jesus?" West says in a video posted on YouTube.

As seen in the video, West takes the sign around Downtown Nashville as cars drive by.

"It's kind of caught on. We've had churches order them by the thousands and pass them out to their people. So that thought of somebody walking down the road or driving down the road and they see, amongst all the messages in the world that are coming at us every single day, a reminder, God's listening for your voice. Talk to Him today."

West hopes that the signs serve as a reminder of, "If you're discouraged, don't stop praying. If you need a miracle, don't stop praying. If you're in a financial crisis, don't stop praying. Whatever's going on in your life, just a reminder to talk to God and make that a part of your life."
