Manitoba's own, Jordan Janzen, recently got to live out a childhood dream.

Before Michael Tait was with Newsboys, he was in the Christian rap-rock trio DC Talk, with TobyMac and Kevin Max. Growing up, Janzen had a dream to be a part of a DC Talk and Newsboys supergroup.

As Janzen and The Color are currently on tour with Newsboys, his dream came true and he posted to social media to share the exciting moment getting to rap part of 'Jesus Freak.'

"This was, honestly, so so fun. Thank you Michael Tait for being such a great human," Janzen captioned the post.

Fans flooded the comment section sharing in the excitement. "Amazing wow Amen," one comment read.

"I grew up on this stuff. Like, for real. Love, Liberty, Disco was one of the first cd’s I ever purchased. I have led worship songs from the Newsboys for decades. I have watched hours and hours of DC Talk videos in my living room as a kid, I owned every cassette tape they released and, at one point, I knew every word to every song on the Jesus Freak album. That came in handy last night," Janzen captioned the post.

Another comment said, "This is so awesome !! Love that you got to do this!"

The Color is gearing up to play at the Corn and Apple Festival in Morden on Aug. 25, 2024 before joining back up with Newsboys on Aug. 30 for the Worldwide Revival Nights.
