Another busy weekend in August is coming up and we are excited to be all over the southeast!
Marchand Logging Days – August 24 – 25
Another fun weekend in Marchand with gates opening at 7 am on Saturday and the pancake breakfast at 9 am followed by the baseball tournament. The afternoon is filled with fun as they have their annual mud bog hosted by Mud Mafia.
On Sunday, gates will open at 9 am with another pancake breakfast. They will also have lots of kid's activities, ATV rodeo, and car show. The evening will end with live music and fireworks!
Kleefeld Honey Festival – Saturday, August 24
The 54th annual Honey Festival is going on this weekend in Kleefeld and they have a full schedule.
The day will begin at 7:30 am with a free pancake breakfast and the slo-pitch tournament. The parade starts at 10 am followed by a busy afternoon. They have a mini market, petting zoo, barrel train rides, bubble soccer, volleyball tournament, and more!
The evening will kick off with a BBQ chicken dinner and mechanical bull rides. The day will be complete with live music and fireworks!
Grunthal Motocross – Sunday, August 25
It is race day in Grunthal and it will be lots of fun!
Registration is open at 6 am with the riders meeting at 7:30 am. The practice session begins at 8 am with Moto 1 beginning at 9 am.
Intermission starts at 1:30 pm with Moto 2 at 2 pm.

The Shedtacular contest is quickly coming to an end with the finale on August 29 at the Clearspring Centre and you need a Golden Ticket to have a chance.

Movies - Friday, August 23
Jake Epp Library is hosting another Summer Movie at the Library. The movie Alladin will start playing at 1:30 pm. It is free admission and there will be free popcorn!
Head down to Mitchell Park, next to the Community Centre to watch Kung Fu Panda 4. The movie begins at 7 pm. If it decides to rain, the movie will be shown in the Centre.
Raiders Day – Saturday, August 24
Eastman Raiders Football Teams will be playing at A.D. Penner Park all day long. Their canteen will be open, and they will be raising money for their program!

Ukraine Independence Day – Saturday, August 24
A.D. Penner Park will be busy as the Ukraine Independence Day celebration will also be going on from 2 pm to 8 pm. You can expect a potluck, concert, prizes, and it is free admission!
Sundown Gymkhana – August 24 and 25
Head down to Sundown for their 20th annual Gymkhana. Registration begins at 2 pm on Saturday followed by supper and a live band.
On Sunday, the pancake breakfast begins at 8 am with Gymkhana registration at 12 pm.
