Several members of the Alberta government are heading to Tulsa, Oklahoma for the Energy Council's 2024 Annual Meeting.

MLA for Chestermere-Strathmore, Chantelle de Jonge, who is also the Parliamentary Secretary for Affordability and Utilities, will join Minister of Affordability and Utilities, Nathan Neudorf and Parliamentary Secretary for Economic Corridor Development Shane Getson, as they look to promote Alberta's energy sector to industry leaders and partners.

According to a news release from the province, the meeting will see government officials from Alberta, Saskatchewan, and 14 energy-producing states come together to promote Alberta’s energy products, and the importance of the province’s energy sector to North America.

“Our province is a leader in responsible energy development. I am excited to have the opportunity to promote Alberta energy and learn from other jurisdictions," says de Jonge.

De Jonge will travel to Tulsa on Thursday (Sept. 12) and is set to return to Alberta on Saturday (Sept. 14).
