The City of Chestermere is hosting pop-up events to discuss the city's plans through its Municipal Development Plan.

Pop-Up Locations:

  • John Peake Park on Sunday (Sept. 22) from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Chestermere Recreation Centre on Tuesday (Sept. 24) from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

According to a release from the city, the MDP will be updated to ensure the community grows sustainably. The new MDP will provide a vision for the city by guiding future growth, land use and development, economic opportunities, public spaces, and infrastructure over the next two decades.

The city is in phase 1 of the MDP, and a new survey is available for residents to provide their input until September 25.

"The current Municipal Development Plan is nearly 10 years old, and a lot has changed, so it’s time to reflect on where we are today and where we’d like to go," says the city in a release.

The MDP will be finalized between January to May of 2025.
