For the first time in over five years, Unspoken has released a new studio album.

The band shared the exciting news on Instagram saying, "We’re so excited about our new album, called IV, dropping September 13! We hope these songs point you to the hope we have in Jesus and that you’re encouraged and blessed!"

The 10-song project is the long-awaited follow-up to the band's Reason, which came out in 2019.

Over the past five years, of almost 100 contenders for the album, lead singer Chad Mattson said, "I think we’ve just tried to write the songs that were in front of us.”

IV features tracks highlighting the love of God that isn't changing based on the inevitable storms that come up in life.

Songs such as 'What He Says About You' have a special place in Mattson's heart as he thinks about his young daughters and the message he wants them to receive in their impressionable hearts. Reminding them of God's love by challenging the ideas society can put on us.

“Our job as believers is to reflect Jesus to people, and one of the greatest ways we do that is through the joy we have in whatever circumstance we’re in,” Mattson says of the standout original that lives up to its name. “The world wants to tell us our joy comes from our circumstance, but we know that’s not true. How we live and how we respond to both joy and chaos are some of the greatest testimonies to the goodness of God.”
