Francis Apraku, the custodian at James Madison High School in Vienna, Virginia, recently received the surprise of a lifetime.
Apraku not only cleans the hallways but also brings a lot of light with his cheery attitude.
"He’s just a very kind, genuine person," one high schooler said of the beloved janitor.
The students found out about his love of Jeeps and the teenagers decided to bless him with one. A GoFundMe account was set up and within a short period of time $20,000 was raised. The students presented Apraku, originally from Ghana, with a red Jeep in the parking lot with a bow on top.
When Apraku realized what they did for him, he fell to the ground, thanking God.
"I have to give thanks to God," says Apraku in a video that has gone viral. "Today is a wonderful day in my life, and I will never forget it."
Another student reiterated why they would go out of their way to buy Apraku a Jeep, saying, "He’s more than just a custodian; he’s a dear friend to all of us."
