Bill Gaither is remembering The Nelons in a special memorial video released a couple of months after the death of three of their members.

"I've done a number of these tributes, most of them are to some of our older Gospel artists who have lived a great life. But this one was so different because they were so young," said Bill in the tribute video. "I think they were just simply coming into their own, and it's sad for all of us, and it's hard for us to express how we feel. Four young lives taken way too soon."

The family group were on their way to join the Gaither Homecoming Cruise to Alaska when the plane they were on, crashed.

The crash claimed the lives of Jason and Kelly Nelon Clark, Amber and Nathan Kistler and their assistant, Melodi Hodges. The pilot, Larry Haynie and his wife, Melissa were also killed in the crash.

Autumn, the youngest in the group and her husband Jaime Streetman, were not on the plane. They arrived safely in Seattle where they received the news that their family had perished in a plane crash.

In the video, Gaither shares memories of the family they have shared over the last couple of decades. From the first time, Kelly's father Rex opened a Gaither show to Amber singing as a child. It also shares the moments in between, and up until right before their deaths.

"Amber, Kelly, Jason, Nathan, see you at the house," said Bill to end the tribute video.

On Tuesday, Autumn joined the Gaithers for the first taping since the horrific plane crash.

"It was a bittersweet day being a part of the Gaither taping without my family," said Autumn. "But I felt their presence."
