Arrest Warrant – Fear of Injury or Damage

On September 25th a 37-year-old male turned himself in to BPS knowing he had a warrant out for his arrest. He was released on an Appearance Notice with court on December 2nd, 2024.

Domestic Assault

On September 25th a 911 call had Police tending to a possible dispute in the 600 block of Douglas Street. Upon arrival it was found a 41-year-old male had punched his partner, a 39-year-old female, in the face and left on foot. The male was located by police shortly after in the 300 block of 2nd Street and arrested.  He was later released on an Undertaking with a court date of November 28th, 2024.

Failure to Attend Court

On September 25th a Brandon Police officer located a 30-year-old female with an Endorsed Warrant while patrolling the Pacific Avenue area. The female was arrested and later released on an Appearance Notice. Court date set for October 24th, 2024.

Theft Under $5000 X2 / Breach of Undertaking

On September 25th Police received a call to a business in the 900 block of Victoria Avenue that a known to them 21-year-old female was in the store and attempting to steal multiple items. The female had a previous condition not to attend the store. Police attended and she was arrested for this Theft and for Breaching an Undertaking. (This theft was $370 worth of merchandise while an outstanding file with the same details had a theft worth $800-1000 worth of merchandise.)  The female was arrested, held in detention cells and will attend court in the morning on September 26th, 2024.

Breach of Peace X3

On September 25th Brandon police tended to three Breach of Peace incidents. The three separate incidents all resulted in an individual being arrested and held in detention cells. They will be released in the morning on September 26th once sober.

Warrant of Arrest / Failure to Comply with Undertaking – Curfew

On September 25th a pedestrian stop was conducted in the 100 block of 10th Street with a 39-year-old female. The female was arrested on the strength of a BPS endorsed Warrant and charged with Failure to Comply with Undertaking – Curfew. The female was arrested, held in detention cells and will attend court in the morning on September 26th, 2024.

Sexual Assault / Uttering Threats

On September 25th, 2024, Brandon Police was informed of a historical Sexual Assault that occurred in a high school bathroom in June of 2024 where the 15-year-old male suspect then threatened the 15-year-old female not to disclose it. Suspect was arrested on September 25th at his residence by the Major Crimes Section. The 15-year-old male was released to a guardian via Undertaking and is no longer allowed to attend that school. Court date is set for December 3rd, 2024.  

Failure to Attend Court / Fraudulent Transportation

On September 25th a taxi came to BPS parking lot and called in stating they had a female in the vehicle who was sleeping and couldn’t be woke up. Police assisted in getting her out of the taxi. Her fair could not be paid. ($55).  She was arrested on the strength of an Unendorsed Warrant (Failure to Attend Court) and charged for Fraudulently Obtaining Transportation. The female was held in detention cells and will attend court in the morning on September 26th, 2024.

Theft Under $5000 / Failure to Comply with Probation

On September 23rd Police received a report of a theft ($40 worth of merchandise) from a store in the 900 block of Victoria Avenue where the known to them female thief was bound by a probation order not to attend the store. On September 25th Police located and arrested the 21-year-old female. She was held in detention cells and will attend court in the morning on September 26th, 2024.
