The highly anticipated Brake for Breakfast, presented by Dino's Appliance & Mattress Centre and Sobeys, will be taking place on Thursday.

This event enters its tenth year and is made possible by the community's continuous and immense support. It is a vital fundraiser for the students of the Portage la Prairie School Division.

"We are reaching out to the community to continue supporting this invaluable fundraiser for our schools," said Rochelle Rands, Assistant Superintendent at the Portage la Prairie School Division. "As you may have heard, the Manitoba government has provided nutrition funding to schools to enhance and grow our current programs. We are appreciative of this much needed additional funding to provide accessible nutritional programs throughout the division. However, we continue to rely heavily on community donations and our local businesses and friends. Fundraisers such as Brake for Breakfast ensure no child goes to class hungry."
