A boil water advisory (BWA) has been issued for a portion of the R.M. of Stanley, southeast of Morden.
In a news release issued by the municipality late Saturday night, it was noted during the evening, Pembina Valley Water Co-op lost power to its pumps in the area, which resulted in some residents losing water.
"Due to the loss in pressure, a boil water advisory is being issued," noted the statement.
The BWA will be in effect until further notice, until results from water samples sent to the lab for testing come back. The municipality expects that to be some time mid this week.
Residents in the BWA should use boiled water or bottled water for:
• Drinking and making ice
• Preparing beverages, including infant formula
• Preparing food
• Brushing teeth
