The Morden Chamber of Commerce has completed a big process, and maintained recognition from the Chamber Accreditation Council of Canada. It's one of 23 Chambers that achieved accreditation for the 2025-29 timeframe.
The Morden Chamber has been accredited since 2021, and is one of just two in Manitoba to receive accreditation in this latest round. The other being the Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce.
"This achievement is a testament to the Morden Chamber of Commerce's dedication to excellence in governance, operations and the strength of the organization," stated President Tyler Schroeder in a news release. "It’s fantastic to see the organization is thriving under a strong governance model, and that we’re ahead of schedule on our Strategic Plan goals."
Schroeder pointed to one of the Chamber's most recent initiatives, the development and implementation of a new advocacy framework to best offer a coordinated voice to our business members.
"This framework will undoubtedly be an asset in ensuring the business community’s voice is heard and represented effectively," he said.
Executive Director Clare Agnew thanked summer student Courtney Peters for helping pull the necessary documents together for the application, and ensuring everything was uploaded properly.
"I think the Morden Chamber should be proud of this accreditation," added Agnew. "It demonstrates the leadership and commitment to the business community, and adds credibility to our brand."
