Five residents will be running for four seats in a contested race to become a trustee with the Holy Trinity Catholic School Division.
Joann Blazieko, Christine Boyczuk, Alison Bradish and Derek Hassen are running for re-election. There are being challenged by Lee Moyse.
Blazieko is a registered nurse who was first election to the Holy Trinity Catholic School Division board in 2012. She has been the chair of the board for 10 years.
Boyczuk is a former teacher, administrator and director of education. She is presently the coordinator for the Moose Jaw Literacy Network and is a member of the Provincial Integrated Youth Services Board, the City of Moose Jaw’s Accessibility Advisory Committee, Square One Community and chair of Age-Friendly Moose Jaw.
Bradish is seeking her second term as a trustee with the Holy Trinity Catholic School Division. She was one of the directors of the Saskatchewan Catholic School Boards Association and was appointed the HTCSD representative for St. Joseph Parish Council.
Hassen has spent 28 years involved in education. He was an employee of the school division and a long-time volunteer coach. Now, as a business owner, he is running for re-election on the board of education.
Lee Moyse is the new challenger. However, his profile has yet to be posted.
Being acclaimed as the Swift Current trustee is Marc Perrault and acclaimed as the Shaunavon trustee is Dana Thiessen.
