UPDATE 8 p.m.

Polls are closed and supporters are gathering across the various ridings in southwest Saskatchewan.

Incumbent Swift Current MLA Everett Hindley talked to our David Zammit just as the final seconds ticked down.

"We've got a crowd of volunteers and supporters at the Swift Current Mall tonight and grateful for their support," Hindley said. "It's always a strange day for me. This is my third go around at this... it's like sports in a way you kind of think back at the things you did successfully and the things you could have done differently. You just sort of sit now and hope your efforts pay off tonight.
