The Prairie Theatre Exchange is welcoming a new artistic director.
Ann Hodges, whose career with the PTE spans three decades, including as an artistic associate from 2014-2015, says she is thrilled to join the team.
"My first job at PTE was as a student selling subscriptions over three decades ago, and I've always considered PTE my artistic home," said Hodges.
During her time with PTE, Hodges also served as a teacher, marketing assistant and student. She also directed 16 shows.
"I'm passionate about honouring PTE's legacy of creating clear, compelling and entertaining theatre for prairie audiences, supporting Canadian playwrights, and being an integral part of the community we live in — audiences and artists."
Not only has Hodges been a staple at PTE, but her work has been seen on every professional stage in Winnipeg. She also recently made her international debut in Kaohsiung, Taiwan.
"Looking to the future, I’m so excited about the relationships PTE will be building with its neighbours during the upcoming transformation of downtown Winnipeg — the city I’m proud to call home.”
Ann will officially start her new role as PTE's ninth Artistic Director on Monday, Nov. 4, 2024.
