When do you change to winter tires?

On the Country 100 Afternoon Show brought to you by Ashdown's Furniture & Interiors Ltd., Avery LeBlanc was wondering when listeners changed their tires for the winter. 

Some may wait until the very first snowfall hits, others may get them done well in advance to be ready for slippery conditions, and some may not even change to winter tires at all.

According to tire experts, those who do regularly change their tires for the winter should make the transition once the average temperature hangs around 7 degrees Celsius. Obviously, this year has been an exception with a warmer than average fall. When do you make the switch to winter tires?
