It's Throwback Thursday - just a minute to remember the good ol' days.
It doesn't seem like 12 years ago but it was - 12 years and five months, actually, when the first big-name rock star took to the stage at Moose Jaw's brand new, downtown arena, now known as the Moose Jaw Events Centre.
John Mellencamp played to a sold-out crowd on June 24th, 2012. I was there. I'll never forget it.
Since then I've had the pleasure of seeing a number of other world-class rock shows from The Tragically Hip, ZZ Top, The Doobie Brothers and John Fogerty.
We've hosted Styx, Alice Cooper, Chicago and a number of country stars like Alan Jackson and Dolly Parton!
I'm thinking about this today as we get set for another great show a week from Saturday with "The 80s Club" coming to Moose Jaw, a show that'll feature Spoons, Men Without Hats, A Flock of Seagulls and Honeymoon Suite.
And, you know, there are still tickets available. It'll be a Saturday night to remember.
I hope to see you there.
