The Strathmore Wheatland Chamber of Commerce's annual Cookie Walk is coming up at the end of the month.
Tyler Hille, director and treasurer of the SWCC explained what the event is all about.
"The Cookie Walk is sort of a family friendly Christmas themed event where businesses and community members get to walk around to downtown businesses and participate in cookie collection, so it's basically a fun way to promote the downtown business core of Strathmore."
If you are a chamber member, businesses will be supplied with the cookies, if you aren't a member and still want to participate, you'll need to purchase the cookies yourself.
Hille says the event is like trick or treating in the holiday season.
"It is an exciting event. Every year we get a lot of participation in it. The kids love it."
The Cookie Walk will begin in Strathmore on Saturday (Nov. 30) at 10 a.m. and people can purchase their bags to Cookie Walk here or email Cody@theswcc.ca.
