The most wonderful night of the year in High River is just a few weeks away now.

The Santa Claus Parade and Christmas Market will be filling up the town with the spirit of giving.

Orvella Small with Inclusion Foothills says the market this year is free, but any donations would be greatly appreciated.

"Yes, and maybe it's important to know that what you do contribute to or donate to Inclusion Foothills, for which we're very really grateful, goes towards and support the programs we offer for our kids, for parents and for the community as a whole."

You can also look for your favourite vendors coming back along with a plethora of new ones.

"It is looking great! We get new ones every day. We have some of the standby's that everybody looks forward to seeing but we've got lots of new ones coming in this year as well. Expect to see a full hall and be ready to shop."

The shopping begins at 2 p.m. and runs till 9 p.m. during the night of the Santa Claus Parade on Friday, December 6th.

Don't worry if you get too busy during the Santa Claus Parade because the market is also open on Saturday, December 7th from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.
