The Altona Community Foundation kicked off their week-long Giving Challenge on Tuesday, November 12th and your donation dollars will get stretched until this Sunday, November 17th!

During the Giving Challenge your gift, no matter what size will be stretched by The Winnipeg Foundation and the Manitoba government. For every $5 donation, an additional $2 (stretch) will be provided.

Your donations are invested and only the interest earned is granted back into the community twice a year to local charitable projects and programs. As the fund grows, it allows the Altona Community Foundation (ACF) to give back more dollars each year which means that many more local organizations can continue to flourish.

Online donations to the ACF can be made on the Endow Manitoba Website or the Altona Community Foundation Website.

Cheques can be made out to the ACF and dropped off at Access CU – Altona branch up until Nov. 15 or with any board member between Nov. 12-17.

Cheques made out to ACF can also be mailed to: Box 2076 Altona, MB R0G 0B0 – but must be received by November 17.

CFAM Morning Show co-host Zack Driedger got all the details from ACF President Haydon Friesen and you can catch their conversation below:
