The Boissevain and Morton Foundation has announced the recipients of its 2024 grants, with more than $94,000 handed out to 19 organizations and groups.

The Turtle Mountain School Division Parent Advisory Council received $25,000 for playground equipment, while the Boissevain Golf Club received just over $19,000 for a commercial zero turn lawnmower.

Other notable grants inlclude $8,000 to the Southwest Seniors Housing Corp for a chair lift, and $5,300 to Boissevain Food Pantry to purchase groceries for clients.

Boissevain School Band Boosters received $5,000 to help support a trip to Alberta. Prairie Mountain Health's Westview Lodge for $7,000 toward an ice machine. Just over $5,000 for a new ice plant at Boissevain Curling Club, and $4,100 for ice commander suits for Boissevain Morton Fire Department.

This year's Youth in Philanthropy grants, totaling $2,500, were also announced and included contributions to the Boissevain Soccer, Skating and Curling Clubs, as well as to the Municipality of Boissevain-Morton for an outdoor rink and Boissevain Bowling for shoes.
