You can get into the Christmas spirit a little bit more this year in the town of Assiniboia.

From November 16 to December 15, the Rotary Club of Assiniboia is holding the "Santa's Missing" escape room at 114 2nd Ave East. Groups of two to six people, for ages 12 and up at the cost of $20 per person.

The story surrounding the escape room is that one of Santa's elves has gone rogue, and the joy man himself has gone missing. It's up to participants to find Santa and save Christmas. We spoke with Leila Elder, a member of the Rotary Club of Assiniboia, about where the funds are going.

"Ripple Effect which helps students in Guatemala continue their education past grade 6. We raised money for Golden South Childcare, Limerick Daycare, and Rotary Family Daycare. We raise money for books for Belise, shelter boxes, and hippo rollers. We put the Rotary clock in the Central Park gazebo for moms and toddlers, a ball dugout, and park benches in the pool area. We also send some students to Agribition each year for Adventures in Agriculture."

To book your spot for an hour and a half of fun, call 306-640-8998. Here is our full conversation with Leila Elder, about the escape room and how it helps their cause.
