The spirit of community and appreciation was in full force yesterday as local farmers gathered at Smitty's Lounge for the Harvest Heroes celebration, an event that put a spotlight on the farmers who have contributed so much to the Pembina Valley region. This annual celebration is dedicated to recognizing and honoring the dedication, innovation, and community spirit that local farmers bring to the area.
Recognizing community champions in farming
The event recognized several standout farms and individuals who demonstrate exceptional leadership, support for fellow farmers, and a commitment to sustainable farming practices.
