A Winnipeg curling team has added a new teammate to their crew.
On Nov. 5, 2024, Kaitlyn Lawes and her partner, Stephan Vigier introduced their second-born, Ella, to the world.
"Myla has been promoted to big sister!" said Lawes in an Instagram post. "Our hearts are full and our sleep is deprived but we wouldn't have it any other way."
Lawes spent 12 years playing third for the legendary Jennifer Jones rink, before 2022 when she announced she would skip her own team.
Team Lawes most recently played in the Co-op Canadian Open falling just short of the playoffs.
They are now taking time to regroup before getting back on track at the Grand Slam of Curling in St. Johns Newfoundland and Labrador from Nov. 26 to Dec. 1, 2024.
