With the Canada Post workers strike having started on Friday (Nov. 15), post offices across the country are no longer accepting any letters or parcels.

The Canada Post location on McRae Street in Okotoks now has a sign listing the services that are still available and apologizing for any inconvenience.

These signs can be seen at numerous Canada Post locations since the strike began.

Okotokians can still use the location for money orders, gift cards, stamps, coins, packaging supplies, and mail forwarding/mail hold services.

Information on negotiations and the strike itself can be found on the Canada Post website, with the post announcing the strike stating that major delays affecting millions of Canadians can be expected and that some post offices will be closed for the duration of the strike.

Okotoks' two other Canada Post locations are located in Sobeys and HC Pharmacy.
