One vehicle a loss, second damaged, in Saturday afternoon fire in Winkler

One vehicle was a total loss, and a second was damaged, in a Saturday afternoon vehicle fire in Winkler.

According to information released by the Winkler Fire Department, they were called to the parking lot of an apartment complex on Royal Crescent around 4:30 p.m.

When crews arrived they found one vehicle fully involved in flames, causing the vehicle beside it to catch fire as well. The blaze was extinguished by firefighters. The vehicles were not located very close to the buildings in the immediate area.

There were no injuries in the incident, and the cause is unknown at this time.
