A Saskatchewan Police Commission disciplinary hearing has been set with for fired Moose Jaw Police Service superintendent Taylor Mickleborough.
The hearing will take place on Dec. 2 at 9:30 a.m. via conference call with Jay Watson as the hearing officer. Details about the hearing can be found here.
On Oct. 2, the Moose Jaw Police Service confirmed that Mickleborough had been dismissed, but did not comment further on the nature of the dismissal or provide any details.
During an Oct. 9 Moose Jaw Board of Police Commissioners meeting, chief Rick Bourassa confirmed that Mickleborough had been dismissed under Section 60 of the Police Act, 1990, but did not elaborate on any details.
Bourassa also confirmed at that meeting that an appeal had been submitted to the Saskatchewan Police Commission.
Mickleborough was a highly-ranked officer at the time of his dismissal. According to the Saskatchewan Association of Chiefs of Police, Mickleborough had been an officer since 2000 and had received a number of awards including a Police Exemplary Service medal in 2021.
