The Manitoba RCMP remembered one of their own in a Facebook post on November 18.
It was noted in the post that Constable Peter Magdic, the first Croatian RCMP officer in Manitoba, was known for his passion for his career and his daily dedication to duty. He had a profound love for the outdoors, soccer, and dancing with the Croatian Folk Ensemble. His zest for life was truly remarkable.
Tragically, on November 18, 2001, Constable Magdic died at the age of 28 when his RCMP patrol vehicle rolled in a single-vehicle accident near Southport, Manitoba.
