A Red Deer resident was arrested for impaired driving.

The Red Deer RCMP received a report of an impaired driver on Nov. 13 at approximately 9:40 p.m.  

The driver had struck multiple stationary vehicles and was driving across the lawns of residences in the neighbourhood of Laredo.   

Police located the driver of the vehicle who was deemed to be impaired.  

As a result of their investigation, the Red Deer RCMP arrested a 41-year-old male resident of Red Deer. 

He has been charged with the following offense: 

  • Operating a conveyance while persons ability to operate is impaired by a drug  

He is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 6, 2025, at the Alberta Court of Justice in Red Deer.
