The Northwestern Health Unit will be holding three COVID-19 vaccine walk-in clinics across the region today (October 27, 2021).

One clinic each will be held in Dryden, Kenora, and Atikokan.

Kenora residents can find their vaccine clinic at Seven Generations Education (240 Veterans Dr Ste 4) and will run from 10:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

In Dryden, the vaccine will be held at the Best Western Plus Dryden Hotel & Conference Centre (349 Government St) between the hours of 10:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Atikokan residents can go to the Northwestern Health Unit (115 Main St) between 1:00 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. to receive their COVID-19 vaccine.

First doses:
- Anyone aged 12+ in 2021 can get a first dose

Second doses:
- Anyone aged 12+ in 2021 can get their second dose if they received:
- Pfizer at least 21 days ago or Moderna 28 days ago,
- Or AstraZeneca at least 56 days ago.

Third doses:
- Third doses are only for people with very specific medical conditions and those living in certain settings. You will be contacted by your specialist or healthcare provider if you qualify.

Walk-in appointments will be accepted, but you can also book an appointment by calling 1-866-468-2240.

Vaccination rates across the NWHU region continue to climb as 88.5 per cent of those eligible have received one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine while 82.4 per cent are fully vaccinated.

The NWHU is reporting that to date over 127,000 doses of the COVID-19 have been administered across the region.
