Maryna Goncharova and her partner Sergiy Goncharov of Moose Jaw found themselves $100,000 after purchasing a winning LOTTO MAX and EXTRA ticket.
Goncharova had the lottery ticket from the Aug. 13 draw sitting in her purse for months and finally decided to check it while grocery shopping.
“It was hard to believe!” she said in the press release. “I checked the ticket three times to confirm but I saw right away I had won the $100,000 prize.”
“I checked it again later on the website just because I was so stunned.”
The couple intends to invest their winnings into their children.
Goncharova and Goncharov purchased the winning ticket at the Moose Jaw Husky located at 1670 Main St. N. They won their prize by correctly matching the last six digits in the Aug. 13 EXTRA draw: 3976724.
