“When I Fall” emerged from a deeply personal moment for Nichole, written during a time of emotional and spiritual exhaustion.
“I just wept at my piano and cried out to God in desperation,” she shared. The song’s lyrics, drawn from her prayers, echo themes of vulnerability, reliance on God, and the peace found in His presence.
“God met me exactly where I was,” she said, referencing Psalm 27:7-8 as a source of inspiration for the track.
Produced by GRAMMY-nominated Jeff Pardo, the song follows a string of chart-topping hits from her debut album, Jesus Changed My Life, including “In Jesus Name (God of Possible)”, “Hold On”, and “God Is In This Story.”
Nichole’s distinct blend of raw honesty and artistry has solidified her status as one of Christian music’s fastest-rising talents.
The release of “When I Fall” coincides with an intense touring schedule. Nichole recently performed on The Awakening Tour with Casting Crowns and will join NewSong and Micah Tyler for a Christmas tour in December.
Her 2025 calendar kicks off with a performance at Florida’s Rock The Universe on Jan. 24, followed by her first headline tour and appearances at major festivals throughout the year.
At just 24 years old, Katy Nichole has already garnered accolades including a K-LOVE Fan Award, a Billboard Chartbreaker title, and recognition as the Gospel Music Association’s 2023 New Artist of the Year.
