A missionary organization based in the USA has set up a dedicated fund for the children of Beau Shroyer, a young missionary who was violently killed while serving Jesus in Angola, Africa.
The incident happened on Oct. 25, 2024. Since then, three people, including, Shroyer's wife, Jackie, and Bernardino Elias, who worked as a security guard and housekeeper for the family, have been arrested. A fourth suspect remains on the lam.
In a release, SIM USA says it remains committed to supporting the ongoing pursuit of justice for Beau. They say they have also taken steps to ensure Jackie has appropriate legal representation.
"The SIM USA leadership team is working closely with the SIM team in Angola and with the Shroyers’ home church, Lakes Area Vineyard Church in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, to care for the Shroyers’ five children and everyone else affected by this tragedy," said SIM USA in a statement. "We continue to keep them all in our prayers."
SIM USA has also set up a fund to support the Shroyer's five children, aged 9 to 17.
Earlier this month, Beau's sister also set up a GoFundMe to support the costs of bringing Beau home, laying him to rest with dignity, and supporting the pursuit of justice on his behalf. The hope is to raise $15,000.
