Just because customers might not approach vehicle-buying like they did in the past doesn’t mean they stopped valuing friendly, helpful service. Quite the contrary, in fact. Not only do people expect even more information, but they prefer it personalized to their unique lifestyles.

For example, a new video tool provides customers a view as their car goes up on the hoist. Whether at home, at work or anywhere else, they can see what the technicians see and make informed decisions regarding maintenance and repair. New programs also ensure vehicle owners are aware of certain work the manufacturer is recommending at any given time.

“We have tools that allow salespeople to work with their customers 100% online from start to finish,” Slezak says. “We can also offer remote vehicle showings and remote test drives. If they want, the customer can visit the dealership for the first and last time when they pick up their vehicle.”

Of course, a healthy, vibrant workplace can only further enhance a business’s quality of customer service, and Slezak says Steinbach Dodge is intentional about nurturing all its relationships – both among staff and with the clientele.

“Our team experience is very important,” he explains. It’s a priority for us to make sure our team is healthy and in a good place.”

Slezak also reminds existing customers and others in the Southeast that, while the autumn has been mild, the colder weather is on its way and a lot of winter tires have yet to be swapped over.

“Winter tires have been a bit further behind than typical,” he says. “But we know it’s coming, so we’re encouraging people to come in and get them done.”
