After the success of the first two, the Altona and Area Family Resource CentreĀ is gearing up for their third annual Puzzle Palooza fundraiser!
Although there is a grand prize for the first team to finish the 1000-piece puzzle in the two-hour timeframe, the bragging rights heavily outweigh the trophy for the top team at this event.
The competitive puzzling community is very apparent at Puzzle Palooza with teams bringing sorting trays, lights, magnifying glasses and special stands, not to mention skipping the complimentary drinks and snacks to stay in the "puzzling flow".
They are looking for a couple more teams to round out the event which is taking place at Ecole Elmwood School this Friday. January 17th and although the poster has a registration deadline of January 10th, they will accept teams right up to palooza day as long as there is room, says the coordinator for the AAFRC Nina Edbom-Kehler.
You can register your 4-person team by emailing: aafrc1998@gmail.com
