Former CHVN on-air host Dana Rogalsky is the new host of a Christian TV show called Beauty for Ashes.
"Square One World Media started in 1947 as a little gospel radio show," says Rogalsky. "Since then it's transformed into an amazing media company. They have programs in all these different languages. The one that I'm doing is Beauty for Ashes."
The show will premiere on Youtube on Jan. 20 with five episodes to follow.
"Beauty for Ashes comes out of Isaiah 61. 'He gave us beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness.' That's my motivation, to encourage people to come out of the ashes and find the beauty in whatever they're going through, and make healthy, whole choices through a Christian lens."
The pilot show will cover the topic of anxiety and depression. Current CHVN host Sylvia St. Cyr ends the episode alongside Rogalsky.
"I have an expert from Providence coming on. She talks about how to deal with anxiety and depression. I have a great friend who has his own journey about anxiety and another friend who talks about her chronic dealing with depression. Then you with your great book Love vs. Fear, and you were inspiring."
The second episode will cover the topic of healthy eating and fitness, starring a former Ignite 107 staff member.
