From the United Kingdom, Andrew Goodman and his family have been missionaries in Asia for 30 years and that's what he'll be highlighting this weekend at Missionfest Manitoba 2025.
"OMF International is a multi-denominational agency with a focus on East Asia and the unreached peoples of East Asia," says Andrew Goodman, who has worked with OMF International for 30 years. "Looking to God to see Indigenous Biblical church movements to Christ in that part of the world."
From the beginning, Goodman's wife Shona, from Scotland, has come alongside her husband as a missionary also.
"We went out in 1995 with a two-year-old daughter. We've now got four children. We really had a call to serve God amongst an unreached people group."
While the Goodman family has had challenges over the past three decades as missionaries, including health issues, they've also seen God's faithfulness.
"We see God provides when He calls, God equips, God enables, encourages, and He is at work in this world. Many years ago as a young guy, I would read Acts and the Apostles and think, it's not really like that. Over the last 30 years, we've experienced some of the things you see in God's word in real life because God has not changed. He's the same yesterday, today, and forever."
Goodman will be speaking at Missionfest on Friday, Feb. 7 at 7 p.m. on the main stage at Church of the Rock, as well as on Saturday, Feb. 8, at 3:00 p.m.
