The season finale promises to be a vibrant celebration of both RWB’s legacy and its future. This triple bill features James Kudelka’s The Four Seasons, a captivating work set to Vivaldi’s iconic music; Cameron Fraser-Monroe’s šɛgatəm, an emotional exploration of resilience and unity within the Tla’amin Nation; and a world premiere by renowned choreographer Dwight Rhoden, adding a fresh voice to the RWB stage.
Spotlight on the Next Generation of Ballet Stars
The season also highlights the bright future of the ballet world with two exciting showcases. In May 2026, the RWB School Professional Division’s Spotlight will showcase the young, rising talents of tomorrow, with performances ranging from classical ballet to contemporary works. Later in June, On the Edge, presented by the Anna McCowan-Johnson Aspirant Program, will demonstrate the emotional depth and passion of the next generation of dancers.
Ballet in the Park – A Summer Tradition

Carmina Burana & T’əl: The Wild Man of the Woods
On tour in January 2026, this powerful double bill presents two contrasting works: Mauricio Wainrot’s Carmina Burana, a celebration of life’s joys set to Carl Orff’s iconic cantata, and Fraser-Monroe’s T’əl: The Wild Man of the Woods, which delves into the haunting legends of the Tla’amin Nation. This performance, with narration by Elder Elsie Paul, is a profound exploration of culture and history through ballet.

As Christopher Stowell prepares to take on the role of Artistic Director, he is excited to continue RWB’s legacy of excellence while bringing his own artistic vision to the company.
