CONNOR MCDAVID HAS WON IT FOR CANADA!!! #4Nations pic.twitter.com/nDneA2e26K
Just like fellow Canadian teammate Sidney Crosby 15 years ago, McDavid scored the overtime winner for Team Canada on Thursday night to beat Team USA 3-2 in the gold medal final.
The 4 Nations Face-Off championship game certainly didn't disappoint, as Canadians and Americans alike were locked to their television sets watching their country's best players battle for national bragging rights before NHL players return to the Winter Olympics next year.
Who would want to miss that?
Me, apparently, as my daily 4:00 AM wakeup put me to sleep before the start of overtime, and I woke up to none other than #97 celebrating the big win with his fellow countrymen.

To say I am disappointed in myself is an understatement.
Listen below as I recapped the game with Nick Cooper on the Country 104 morning show and informally revoked my Canadian citizenship.Â
