The Gallery provided the space, but the crafters brought the camaraderie.
After a long winter of somewhat solitary crafting, a group of intrepid makers gathered at the Gallery for their first UFO (Unfinished Objects) night. There was a diverse set of interests and projects on the go.
Embroidery and delicate cross stitch pieces were in progress. Other items were more utilitarian. One crafter was repurposing a brightly coloured garment to a pillowcase and another was prepping material for use in future projects.
Two painters with completely different media were focused on their tasks. One worked on a beautiful in tribute portrait in water colour while another painted a hardshell suitcase destined to become a display case for wares in a street market.
Great to see the creativity, and the camaraderie on a chilly March evening, with thanks to the Gallery for hosting the event.
